Software Products

We currently use and recommend the following bookkeeping software. We have spent many hours using and evaluating bookkeeping software packages and believe QuickBooks is the best choice for most small to medium businesses.

QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro

We have tried other bookkeeping and accounting software, but QuickBooks is the best tool for small business we have found. QuickBooks is networkable so your whole office can use it at the same time. QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro excel in these areas (and more), where other software falls short:

  • Easy to use reports allow you to "zoom" in on one particular item in the report, unlike others which require you to view individual items from another screen.
  • Bank reconciling is simple when you can "click" on a check to change an incorrectly entered amount from within the reconciliation form.
  • Payroll has never been easier. With updatable (and downloadable) tax tables, you don't have to know how to enter complex formulas into a tax table. All you have to do is select the employees to pay, enter the hours worked, and print payroll checks.
  • Merging of duplicate customer names, vendor names, accounts, or inventory items is effortless. Other softwares have no provision to merge data this way.
  • Changing customer account numbers will change all related invoices, sales, and receipts. Other softwares do not allow you to change a customer ID number.
There are numerous other reasons to choose QuickBooks over other bookkeeping software packages, but these are some of the most obvious. If you haven't purchased your accounting software yet, QuickBooks or QuickBooks Pro is your best choice.
