| Virus and Spyware Removal Computer viruses are nothing new, but in this day in age, computer spyware and adware is becoming increasingly more difficult to contain. Just what is adware and spyware? Adware is any computer software application that displays advertising banners while the program is running. Spyware is computer software that sends information to a third party without informing the user.
Your computer may be infected with this malware if one or more of the following symptoms exists:
- Your web browser goes to a page you are unfamiliar with when you open it (called browser hi-jacking).
- Your computer seems to be slow no matter what you do.
- Your Internet connection is much slower than usual.
- You can no longer connect to the Internet.
- Ads pop-up in new windows without user input
- Any other 'weirdness' that you may experience that is 'out of the ordinary' is reason to suspect spyware/adware.
We will determine what, if any, spyware or adware is residing on your computer. The offending program will be removed manually or with software designed for such a task. The computer will be rebooted and tested to determine if the spyware or adware has been eliminated or if it keeps coming back (which is sometimes the case). If the spyware/adware program continues to run, additional measures will be taken to ensure the offensive program is eradicated
